A significant focus of our work addresses the urgent needs of the approximately 35,000 children in the UK living with drug-resistant epilepsy, experiencing daily, often life-threatening seizures that do not respond to conventional treatments. Pioneering cannabinoid-based medications have proven effective in controlling these seizures. However, current regulations limit access to these treatments primarily to families who can afford private funding, placing immense financial strain on those already facing unimaginable challenges.
